I think that is the case in some European countries.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As for Kelloggs trying to be socially responsible, I think it's laughable. I remember the discussions about corporate social responsibility in my ironically named business ethics class in university. I was one among many cynics who viewed corporate social responsibility as nothing more than an attempt at earned media (free advertising.) How many would really have a lunch program for kids if they had to remain completely anonymous? How about if their donations weren't tax deductible?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Voluntary regulation in this age of multinational megacorporations is not on. Government needs to form some sort of backbone and start passing laws that protect people and not just business.
