Bernard Gauthier: Olympic clothing line launch: Did anyone invite the PR people to this meeting?

Bernard, I think what you are talking about is just plain bad design combined with incompetent direction from the people at HBC! As an unemployed (and talented if I may) sportswear designer I was amazed at how they could get everything including the color selection and store design so wrong! This just shows you that the people at HBC need to retire or go find jobs at Walmart where they have no decision making ability at all. It's a good thing that the market will show them the error of their ways. It is sad but indicative of the entire Olympic program that is more concerned with the giants bags of cash that HBC threw at them when for all purposes Roots and many other great Canadian clothing companies could have done a fantastic program. The Olympics is out or reach and out of touch from the public, as you say, and as such our only recourse is to not buy. best, steven sal debus

It's a good idea to have Pr people in the launching of the clothing line because they will really a great help in promoting the product for the target market of the said clothing line. PR people will be the one's who will took care of the prospects.
